We are hiring a DSPM Lead / Principal Engineer — Microsoft Purview (Contract). Location: Remote with periodic on-site in London. Contract: 10 weeks, starting the week of 21 July 2026. IT Armi is partnering with a leading specialty insurer to build and deliver a Data Security Posture Management capability powered by Microsoft Purview across M365, Azure, and Databricks. This Build‑Operate‑Transfer engagement has a compliance deadline: CIS Controls Framework readiness by 30 September 2026.
What you’ll do:
- Architect the Purview Information Protection framework — sensitivity labels, auto‑labelling, and information barriers
- Configure DLP policies across Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Azure
- Integrate Purview Data Lifecycle Management with Databricks
- Build CIS 18 compliance evidence and expose it via API into the GRC platform
- Lead sprint ceremonies and mentor a supporting engineer
- Deliver knowledge transfer and BAU handover by Sprint 5
What you bring:
- Hands‑on Microsoft Purview delivery experience (Information Protection, DLP, Data Lifecycle Management, Compliance Manager)
- M365 E5 security stack expertise
- Azure data governance experience (Azure Policy, Defender for Cloud, Purview)
- Strong PowerShell and Python skills for automation and reporting
- Knowledge of CIS Controls (especially CIS 3 & 18)
- Experience with GRC platform integrations and agile delivery
- Confidence presenting to CISO‑level stakeholders
Nice to have:
- Databricks Unity Catalog experience
- Sentinel + Purview integration
- SC‑400 certification
- BOT/handover engagement experience
