We are hiring a DSPM Lead / Principal Engineer — Microsoft Purview (Contract). Location: Remote with periodic on-site in London. Contract: 10 weeks, starting the week of 21 July 2026. IT Armi is partnering with a leading specialty insurer to build and deliver a Data Security Posture Management capability powered by Microsoft Purview across M365, Azure, and Databricks. This Build‑Operate‑Transfer engagement has a compliance deadline: CIS Controls Framework readiness by 30 September 2026.

What you’ll do:

  • Architect the Purview Information Protection framework — sensitivity labels, auto‑labelling, and information barriers
  • Configure DLP policies across Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Azure
  • Integrate Purview Data Lifecycle Management with Databricks
  • Build CIS 18 compliance evidence and expose it via API into the GRC platform
  • Lead sprint ceremonies and mentor a supporting engineer
  • Deliver knowledge transfer and BAU handover by Sprint 5

What you bring:

  • Hands‑on Microsoft Purview delivery experience (Information Protection, DLP, Data Lifecycle Management, Compliance Manager)
  • M365 E5 security stack expertise
  • Azure data governance experience (Azure Policy, Defender for Cloud, Purview)
  • Strong PowerShell and Python skills for automation and reporting
  • Knowledge of CIS Controls (especially CIS 3 & 18)
  • Experience with GRC platform integrations and agile delivery
  • Confidence presenting to CISO‑level stakeholders

Nice to have:

  • Databricks Unity Catalog experience
  • Sentinel + Purview integration
  • SC‑400 certification
  • BOT/handover engagement experience
