Financial Controller in Leatherhead

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee the financial operations of our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance, ensuring the organisation\’s financial health and integrity. Responsibilities

Own the production of the monthly management accounts pack, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and supporting analysis.

Present monthly results at the investor meeting, providing clear insight, commentary and recommendations.

Maintain all key financial reconciliations and management information.

Manage month-end close, including journals, accruals and prepayments.

Oversee statutory accounts preparation, including supporting back-up schedules.

Prepare, update and present financial plans, budgets and forecasts.

Maintain and develop the core Excel planning and forecasting model.

Lead cash flow management and forecasting.

Oversee treasury management, including FX exposure monitoring/hedging, depositing excess cash and FX management.

Ensure VAT returns and other tax filings are completed accurately and on time, with support from external advisors

Manage consolidation of group entities using Joiin (administrator responsibility).

Ensure ledgers are accurate, complete and up to date.

Oversee payroll production and maintenance.

Manage pension production and maintenance.

Maintain and improve the Sales Commissions Tracker and related processes.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role within a dynamic organisation.
• Extensive knowledge of financial management principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, along with solid experience in managing accounts payable processes.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Good understanding of statutory regulations related to finance and taxation in the UK.
• Relevant professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA or ACA are preferred but not essential.
• Ability to lead a team whilst demonstrating excellent communication skills. This role is ideal for a dedicated finance professional eager to make a significant impact within our organisation through expert financial management and strategic insight.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £40,000.00-£75,000.00 per year
