We collaborate closely with all business areas to provide advice and support, aiming to shape people plans and priorities across the organisation. The Role

This is an exciting and varied opportunity for a true generalist looking to take on an important role in the business, contributing to key people initiatives and helping shape a positive employee experience. Working closely with the Head of HR and key stakeholders, you’ll provide pragmatic and effective HR advice, problem-solving and guidance across all people-related matters. You’ll be a confident HR Advisor, able to pro-actively develop strong relationships and gain a deep understanding of organisational challenges. This hands-on role requires you to switch between operational and strategic priorities, balancing reactive needs with proactive planning to support short, medium, and long-term business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Support: Partner with key stakeholders to support people strategies, development and workforce planning. Build trusted relationships with managers and employees to influence good people practices and leadership.
  • Payroll & Benefits Administration: Manage monthly payroll in collaboration with our external payroll provider. Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of payroll data. Manage annual third-party benefit reviews and information.
  • Facilitation & Communication: Design and deliver onboarding, training, guidance, tools and development sessions. Facilitate workshops and engagement initiatives that promote teamwork inclusion and growth. Communicate and promote ways of working clearly and consistently.
  • Inclusion & Neurodiversity Support: Champion inclusive practices and support neurodiverse employees across all aspects of the employee lifecycle. Collaborate with stakeholders and networks to ensure Itad has accessible and equitable work environments.
  • Change Management & Projects: Work collaboratively with the Head of HR on cross-functional projects. Support change initiatives with clear planning, communication, and follow-through.

The Candidate

You are an experienced all-rounder and true HR generalist. You’re comfortable managing a varied workload and shifting between strategic and operational priorities. You know when to ask for support and when to flag potential issues, and you bring a pragmatic, best-fit approach to HR. You flex your style and approach based on the situation, using professional influence to promote good people management across all levels. You understand the importance of consistency while tailoring solutions to meet business needs. As a collaborative team player, you’re happy to mentor junior colleagues and support cross-role learning. You understand the payroll lifecycle and ideally have experience managing a payroll provider. You will be confident with HR systems (including BambooHR), and eager to promote and adopt the use of AI within the team. Your strengths lie in relationship building, communication, and influencing management to drive positive change, inclusive and commercial decisions.
