Project Accountant in Birmingham

What You’ll Be Doing

• Establish and maintain billing schedules in coordination with project managers
• Prepare and submit accurate client invoices on time
• Review and allocate consultant, engineering, and vendor invoices to projects
• Monitor job costs and ensure alignment with project budgets
• Process client payments and maintain financial records
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maintain data integrity
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities

What You’ll Need to be Considered

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Strong knowledge of job cost accounting, project billing processes, and percentage of completion accounting
• 3+ years of project accounting in the architecture, engineering, or construction industry
• Experience with ERP systems (Sage, QuickBooks, or Deltek preferred)
• Advanced Excel skills
