Accountant, Property Tax / Property Tax Specialist

Compensation
$80,000–$90,000
What You’ll Be Doing
Coordinate with a third-party provider to manage property tax data, returns, and payments
Gather, review, and organize data for property tax renditions
Review tax filings, ensure timely payments, and support funding processes
Assist in budgeting and preparing property tax accruals
Support audits, explain variances, and resolve discrepancies
File excise, severance, and transportation-related tax returns (IFTA, Heavy Highway Use)
Engage in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives within the tax department
What You’ll Need to be Considered
Be able to do the job as described
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business major
Strong proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas)
Experience with Oracle or property tax management systems is a plus
Experience with IFTA, Heavy Highway Use, or excise tax filings is a plus
