We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Specialist to support day‑to‑day activities within the Firewall support team.

Qualifications

  • Strong hands‑on experience with Check Point firewalls (R8x, VSX, ClusterXL, MDM/MDS, Maestro)
  • Solid understanding of network security principles and TCP/IP networking
  • Proven troubleshooting capability across firewall, connectivity, and policy issues
  • Experience working within enterprise change‑controlled environments (e.g. ServiceNow, Jira)
  • Working knowledge of Linux/Unix (Gaia OS, CLI)
  • Familiarity with Cisco networking (routing, switching, ACI)
  • Exposure to monitoring and observability tooling (e.g. Solarwinds, Skyline)
  • Experience in regulated environments (e.g. Financial Services, audit/compliance)
  • Knowledge of high‑availability, resilience, and platform lifecycle management

Firewall Operations & Support

  • Provide operational support for Check Point firewalls, including incident and problem resolution.
  • Support in the diagnosis and resolution of complex network security issues across production environments.

Change Implementation & Platform Maintenance

  • Manage request backlog (Jira) and raise changes (ServiceNow).
  • Implement and/or review firewall policy changes and NAT updates to policy.
  • Support platform upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
  • Track delivery of operational tasks, improvements, and remediation activities.
  • Support audit, compliance, and vulnerability management activities.
  • Produce and update operational runbooks and knowledge articles (Confluence).
  • Work with network, security, and application teams to deliver services effectively.
  • Communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Contribute to process improvements and support automation initiatives where appropriate.
