Overview
IT Works Recruitment is supporting an IFS customer at a critical stage of their IFS Cloud programme. We are looking for a highly experienced IFS Solution Architect to take ownership of end-to-end solution design and architectural governance on a fully remote, contract basis. The role will operate independently alongside SI partners, providing an honest, best-practice view of IFS Cloud and ensuring the solution is scalable, supportable, and aligned to the long-term roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the design authority across the IFS Cloud solution
- Own solution architecture across functional, technical, and integration layers
- Translate complex business requirements into robust IFS Cloud designs
- Lead and challenge solution design decisions made by the business and SI partners
- Ensure minimal customisation and maximum use of standard IFS functionality
- Govern integrations, data flows, reporting, and security architecture
- Lead and support design and architecture workshops with senior stakeholders
- Ensure architectural alignment across current delivery and future phases
Required Experience
- Proven contract experience as an IFS Solution Architect on IFS Cloud
- Hands-on knowledge of core IFS modules, with examples such as:
- Finance – General Ledger, AP/AR, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting
- Supply Chain – Procurement, Inventory, Demand Planning
- Manufacturing / Projects – MRP, Shop Floor Control, Project Management
- Service & Asset Management – FSM, Maintenance, Work Orders, Asset Lifecycle
Desirable Experience
- Multi-country or global IFS implementations
- Integration architecture involving third-party systems (e.g. Salesforce, Azure, middleware platforms)
- Industry experience in Manufacturing, Construction, Engineering, or Service-based organisations
