A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lead IFS Finance Consultant to join a growing consultancy team. This role offers the chance to take ownership of Finance workstreams across multiple projects, including full lifecycle IFS implementations, ensuring solutions are designed, configured, and delivered to a high standard.
This is a home-based position, with travel required in line with project needs. While most clients are based in the UK, there may occasionally be opportunities to support projects in neighbouring regions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Solution Design & Delivery
- Lead workshops with clients to gather and document requirements for Finance processes
- Translate business needs into IFS configurations and functional solutions
- Configure and implement IFS modules following best practice
- Oversee data migration, testing, and cutover activities for your functional area
- Act as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through financial processes within IFS
- Provide recommendations for optimisation, reporting, and integration with other business systems
- Support pre-sales activity by demonstrating Finance capabilities and contributing to solution proposals
- Mentor junior consultants in Finance functionality and IFS configuration
- Ensure solution integrity and quality across all project phases
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and development of best practices
- Work closely with technical teams on customisations, interfaces, and reporting
- Liaise with change management teams to support smooth system adoption
- Collaborate with functional consultants across areas such as Supply Chain, HR, and Manufacturing to deliver integrated solutions
What We’re Looking For
- Strong, hands-on knowledge of IFS Finance modules, particularly AP, AR, Fixed Assets, GL, Cash Management, and Reporting
- Experience delivering end-to-end IFS implementations
- Ability to lead workshops, translate requirements, and configure solutions effectively
- Excellent communication skills, with a proactive and outcome-focused mindset
- Experience with IFS Cloud and/or a professional finance qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA) would be advantageous
