Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced IFS Support Consultant to provide functional and technical support for the IFS ERP platform across multiple business areas. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, third‑party providers, and project teams to maintain system stability, troubleshoot issues, support users, and contribute to ongoing ERP improvements. This role requires strong analytical skills, a customer‑focused approach, and hands‑on experience supporting IFS Applications or IFS Cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day support for IFS ERP users across finance, supply chain, manufacturing, projects, service management, and related modules.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application incidents, data issues, and process‑related problems.
- Manage support tickets in line with agreed SLAs and escalation procedures.
- Perform root cause analysis and recommend long‑term solutions.
- Liaise with third‑party support partners and software vendors where required.
Functional & Technical Support
- Configure and maintain IFS application settings.
- Support integrations between IFS and external systems.
- Assist with user access management, permissions, and security roles.
- Develop and maintain reports, queries, and dashboards where required.
- Support data corrections, uploads, and migration activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes and system performance.
- Participate in ERP enhancement projects, upgrades, testing, and deployments.
- Support change management and release processes.
- Contribute to system documentation, knowledge bases, and standard operating procedures.
User Support & Training
- Provide end‑user guidance and training.
- Create user documentation and support materials.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to understand operational requirements.
- Promote best practices in ERP usage and data management.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience supporting IFS Applications or IFS Cloud.
- Strong understanding of ERP business processes.
- Experience supporting one or more of the following modules: Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Projects, Service & Maintenance, Procurement.
- Experience with incident management and troubleshooting.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple support requests.
- Experience working within ITIL‑aligned support environments.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Experience with SQL and database querying.
- Familiarity with IFS integrations, APIs, or middleware.
- Experience with reporting tools and data analysis.
- Understanding of cloud‑hosted ERP environments.
- Exposure to ERP upgrades or implementation projects.
- ITIL certification or equivalent.
Technical Environment
