Our client, a well established plastic manufacturing business, is seeking an experienced Epicor Solutions Architect to lead the design, optimisation and ongoing development of their Epicor ERP platform. This role will play a key part in shaping how technology supports the organisation’s manufacturing operations, supply chain and commercial processes. The successful candidate will act as the technical authority for Epicor, ensuring the platform is architected and configured to support operational efficiency, production planning and future business growth.
Working closely with operational leaders, IT teams and external Epicor partners, the Solutions Architect will translate manufacturing and supply chain requirements into scalable ERP solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Own the solution architecture and technical design of the Epicor ERP environment
- Lead the design and implementation of Epicor modules across manufacturing, supply chain and finance
- Work closely with business stakeholders across production, planning, procurement, logistics and finance to capture requirements
- Design and oversee integrations between Epicor and other systems including shop floor systems, WMS, CRM and reporting platforms
- Ensure the Epicor platform supports production planning, inventory management, traceability and operational reporting
- Define best practice processes within Epicor to support lean manufacturing and operational efficiency
- Lead solution design workshops and produce clear architecture and design documentation
- Provide governance over customisations, BPMs, integrations and system enhancements
- Support Epicor upgrades, new module deployments and system improvements
- Work alongside implementation partners and internal development teams to ensure delivery aligns with architectural standards
- Ensure data integrity, system performance and security across the Epicor ecosystem
- Strong hands on experience with Epicor ERP (Epicor 10 or Kinetic)
- Proven experience in a Solutions Architect, Technical Architect or Senior Epicor Consultant role
- Experience delivering ERP implementations or major system transformations
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including production planning, MRP and supply chain management
- Experience designing ERP integrations and enterprise system architecture
- Knowledge of Epicor tools including BAQs, BPMs, dashboards and customisations
- Experience working with API integrations and middleware platforms
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across both technical and operational teams
