We are seeking an experienced and strategic Nervecentre Transformation Lead to lead the implementation, optimisation, and long-term transformation enabled by the Nervecentre platform within an NHS Trust. This is a senior leadership role responsible not just for system deployment, but for driving clinical and operational transformation. You will ensure that Nervecentre delivers measurable improvements in patient safety, clinical workflow, productivity, and patient flow. The role requires strong leadership across clinical, operational, digital, and executive stakeholders, ensuring alignment with Trust strategy and wider NHS digital priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership
    • Lead the end-to-end transformation programme enabled by Nervecentre.
    • Define and own the Trust’s Nervecentre roadmap.
    • Align programme delivery with Trust digital strategy and national NHS priorities.
    • Act as senior escalation point for programme risks and issues.
  • Clinical & Operational Transformation
    • Drive redesign of clinical workflows to maximise platform value.
    • Ensure engagement and buy-in from senior clinicians and operational leaders.
    • Oversee change management, adoption strategy, and benefits realisation.
    • Ensure measurable improvements in safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Programme & Delivery Oversight
    • Provide oversight of configuration, integrations, testing, and deployment.
    • Ensure compliance with NHS standards (including DCB0129/DCB0160 clinical safety requirements).
    • Lead go-live planning, hypercare, and post-implementation optimisation.
    • Manage third-party suppliers and delivery partners where applicable.
  • Governance & Assurance
    • Report progress and outcomes to executive boards and steering groups.
    • Establish robust governance and performance tracking frameworks.
    • Ensure information governance, data protection, and security compliance.

    Essential Experience

    • Proven leadership of a Nervecentre implementation within an NHS Trust.
    • Significant experience leading large-scale digital transformation programmes in the NHS.
    • Strong understanding of NHS clinical operations (acute, community, or mental health settings).
    • Experience engaging at executive and board level.
    • Demonstrable experience delivering measurable benefits from digital programmes.
    • Strong knowledge of NHS governance, clinical safety, and IG frameworks.

    Desirable Experience

    • Experience integrating with EPR systems such as Cerner Millennium, Epic, or Lorenzo.
    • Knowledge of interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR).
    • Formal programme management qualification (e.g., MSP, PRINCE2).
    • Clinical background with senior leadership experience.
