You will work closely with clinical leaders, operational teams, digital services, suppliers, and system integrators to coordinate delivery activities and manage dependencies across complex workstreams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of the EPR implementation in line with Trust objectives and national NHS priorities.
  • Develop and manage delivery plans, milestones, RAID logs, and dependencies across multiple workstreams.
  • Coordinate clinical, operational, technical, and supplier teams to ensure aligned delivery.
  • Act as the primary point of accountability for delivery performance, risks, and issues.
  • Manage third-party suppliers and system integrators, ensuring contractual deliverables are met.
  • Ensure clinical safety standards (e.g. DCB0129 / DCB0160) are embedded throughout delivery.
  • Support change management, go-live readiness, cutover planning, and post-go-live stabilisation.
  • Provide regular progress reporting to programme boards, senior stakeholders, and governance forums.
  • Ensure delivery aligns with NHS information governance, data protection, and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Promote best practice in programme and delivery management (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid as appropriate).
Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven experience as a Delivery Manager or Programme/Project Manager on large-scale digital transformation programmes.
  • Direct experience delivering or implementing EPR / PAS / Clinical Systems within an NHS or healthcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of NHS structures, clinical workflows, and operational environments.
  • Experience working with major EPR suppliers (e.g. Epic, Cerner, Oracle Health, System C, Dedalus, MEDITECH).
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior clinicians and executives.
  • Strong risk, issue, and dependency management capabilities.
  • Experience managing third-party vendors and complex delivery teams.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments while maintaining delivery focus.
  • Experience working within an NHS Trust or Integrated Care System (ICS).
  • Knowledge of NHS clinical safety standards and digital assurance processes.
  • PRINCE2, MSP, Agile, or equivalent delivery management certification.
  • Experience supporting go-live and hypercare phases of EPR deployments.
