We are seeking an experienced Network Project Engineer to support the delivery of network infrastructure installation and commissioning projects across Scotland. The successful candidate will work closely with project, field, and operational teams to plan, implement, and deliver technical solutions while ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project delivery activities including scoping, planning, implementation, and commissioning of network infrastructure projects.
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and telecommunications equipment.
- Conduct site surveys and technical assessments to support project requirements.
- Complete rack, charger, and telecom equipment installations to a high standard.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and project handover documentation.
- Create and manage Health & Safety documentation, including RAMS and POWRA.
- Provide technical support during customer meetings and assist with fault resolution when required.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in network installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of IP networking, including WAN, LAN, MPLS, and CCNA-level networking concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Nokia networking platforms, including SAR-H and NFM-P.
- Strong understanding of routing, switching, and data networking technologies.
- Experience working with XTran technology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Visio for creating network and technical diagrams.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
