An advanced engineering and manufacturing business in Surrey is looking for an IT Applications Specialist with a strong focus on CAD systems support. This role sits at the heart of the product development process, working closely with engineers and designers to ensure the tools they rely on from CAD to PLM are performing at their best. What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting, maintaining, and optimising CAD and PLM applications (e.g. SolidWorks, NX, CATIA, Teamcenter)
  • Acting as the go-to expert for engineering software issues, troubleshooting directly with design teams
  • Managing licenses, application upgrades, patches, and integrations
  • Liaising between engineering and IT to ensure application reliability, security, and performance
  • Delivering training or documentation where needed for engineering users
  • Leading or supporting system improvements, migrations, and vendor engagement

What we're looking for:

  • Experience supporting CAD or PLM tools in an engineering, aerospace, or manufacturing setting
  • Solid understanding of how engineers use design applications and where support adds value
  • Technical knowledge across application deployment, licensing, and scripting/automation (PowerShell or similar)
  • Able to work independently and proactively with stakeholders across engineering and IT
  • Ideally familiar with Windows Server environments, patch management, and hybrid infrastructure
  • SC clearance or eligibility to obtain it
