An advanced engineering and manufacturing business in Surrey is looking for an IT Applications Specialist with a strong focus on CAD systems support. This role sits at the heart of the product development process, working closely with engineers and designers to ensure the tools they rely on - from CAD to PLM - are performing at their best.

What you'll be doing:
- Supporting, maintaining, and optimising CAD and PLM applications (e.g. SolidWorks, NX, CATIA, Teamcenter)
- Acting as the go-to expert for engineering software issues, troubleshooting directly with design teams
- Managing licenses, application upgrades, patches, and integrations
- Liaising between engineering and IT to ensure application reliability, security, and performance
- Delivering training or documentation where needed for engineering users
- Leading or supporting system improvements, migrations, and vendor engagement
What we're looking for:
- Experience supporting CAD or PLM tools in an engineering, aerospace, or manufacturing setting
- Solid understanding of how engineers use design applications and where support adds value
- Technical knowledge across application deployment, licensing, and scripting/automation (PowerShell or similar)
- Able to work independently and proactively with stakeholders across engineering and IT
- Ideally familiar with Windows Server environments, patch management, and hybrid infrastructure
- SC clearance or eligibility to obtain it
