We’re looking for a Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Support Analyst to help turn data into meaningful insights that drive better decision-making across the business. This is a hands-on, senior-level role where you’ll act as a key link between business teams and technical developers. You’ll support users with BI tools, help shape reporting solutions, and promote a self-service data culture so teams can confidently build and use their own dashboards.

You’ll Be Doing

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver effective data solutions
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for developers (internal and external)
  • Lead or support workshops to gather requirements and manage change requests
  • Act as the go-to expert for BI tools, troubleshooting issues and supporting users
  • Enable self-service BI by training and guiding users to create their own reports and dashboards
  • Help design and maintain dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights
  • Work with subject matter experts to ensure data is accurate and integrated across systems
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, automate tasks, and enhance data delivery
  • Maintain clear documentation including solution designs and user guides
  • Support and improve the organisation’s central data platform and BI environment
  • Lead BI governance activities, ensuring data quality, consistency, and security
  • Coordinate testing for new or updated BI solutions
  • Monitor report performance and ensure data is delivered accurately and on time

Essential Skills & Experience

  • In commutable distance to Milton Keynes / a driver highly desirable
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Strong experience with BI and data analytics tools
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data needs
  • Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data manipulation)
  • Ability to translate business requirements into BI solutions
  • Good understanding of data warehousing and ETL processes
  • Experience with data modelling and reporting structures
  • Knowledge of data governance, quality, and management practices
  • Experience with databases, SQL, and cloud platforms
  • Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences

Desirable

  • Experience with tools like Qlik Sense, Power BI, or Tableau
  • Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM)
  • Experience supporting or delivering self-service BI initiatives
