About the Role
We are representing a large and well-known organisation at the forefront of charity finance and payments processing. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in the granting of donations to charities across the UK, ensuring funds are managed and distributed efficiently.
Supporting the Financial Controller, you will take ownership of financial management, reconciliation, and reporting, working alongside a global team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional looking to contribute to a mission-driven organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile revenue receipts and oversee donation grants to charities.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, including P&L, balance sheets, and cashflows.
- Oversee payment processing, ensuring reconciliations with banking providers.
- Conduct monthly revenue and grant reconciliations, identifying and correcting discrepancies.
- Manage operational expenses, ensuring accurate invoice allocation and timely payments.
- Monitor bank balances, ensuring appropriate transfers when required.
- Handle Gift Aid claims, reviewing and refining data before submission.
- Respond to finance-related queries and escalations, ensuring timely resolution.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree-educated and actively working towards an accounting qualification.
- Experience in a key accounting function handling high-volume transactions.
- Strong accounting knowledge, including financial reporting and reconciliations.
- Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and familiarity with SAP or similar financial systems.
- Highly organised, adaptable, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage tasks independently.
- Experience with automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
