We’re working with a digital agency on the lookout for a seasoned Backend .NET Developer who knows their way around Umbraco, C#, and Azure. You’ll be joining a collaborative team delivering high-impact digital projects with a focus on clean, maintainable code and scalable architecture.
This is a remote-first role (90% WFH), scoped outside IR35, paying £380 per day.
- Contract: 3+ months (with potential extension)

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading backend development on digital builds, primarily focused on Umbraco CMS
- Building and maintaining clean, scalable APIs and backend services in C#/.NET
- Integrating with Azure Functions and managing cloud-based infrastructure
- Working closely with frontend, UX, and delivery teams to ensure seamless delivery
- Championing best practices and mentoring junior developers when needed
You’ll Need:
- Solid commercial experience with Umbraco CMS (v8+ ideally)
- Strong C#/.NET backend dev skills (including MVC, Entity Framework)
- Comfortable working with Azure Functions and cloud-hosted applications
- Experience designing, consuming and documenting RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Git)
