Job Description
Overview
An opportunity to join a growing organisation building out an internal IT support function. You’ll provide technical support to 30–50 users across office and remote environments, assist with systems administration, and contribute to infrastructure improvements within a Microsoft-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1st and 2nd line support to internal users (remote and office-based).
- Install and configure hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Administer Microsoft 365, including user management, Active Directory, Exchange, and security groups.
- Support rollout and adoption of new applications and systems.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues across network, devices, and printing.
- Maintain and manage IT tickets, ensuring timely resolution and user satisfaction.
- Deliver user training and produce clear documentation (FAQs, guides, wikis).
- Assist in maintaining IT policies and support Cyber Essentials compliance.
- Evaluate and test new technologies to improve IT operations.
- Provide technical input for device imaging and system configuration.
- Collaborate with remote teams in the UK and internationally.
Required Skills & Experience
- 1–2 years in a desktop support, IT support, or systems admin role.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 admin tools (AD, Exchange, SharePoint).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with remote support tools.
- Good communication skills and a proactive, user-focused approach.
- Relevant qualifications (degree, diploma, or certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified).
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Windows Server, Azure, virtualisation (VMs).
- Knowledge of Microsoft deployment tools (Intune, Autopilot, SCCM).
- Scripting or automation skills (PowerShell).
- Exposure to web or application support (.NET, Power Platform, etc).
- Experience supporting Cyber Essentials or similar standards.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
