Job Description

IT Support Specialist – Opportunity to Grow Across IT Functions

Are you a proactive and personable IT support professional looking for a role that offers more than just troubleshooting? We’re seeking a technically capable and customer-focused individual to join our dynamic team, with the opportunity to expand into other areas of IT—such as training, systems improvement, and beyond.

In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for technical issues, ensuring staff receive efficient and friendly support across a range of hardware and software challenges. But this position isn’t just about fixing problems—it’s about growing your IT career. We’re looking for someone who’s not only technically skilled, but who communicates clearly, builds strong relationships, and is keen to contribute to wider IT initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day IT support to users, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining devices and systems.
  • Work closely with team members to identify opportunities for IT enhancements.
  • Contribute to user onboarding and training, with scope to take on a larger training role over time.
  • Participate in IT projects and process improvements.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in an IT support or service desk role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills—able to explain tech clearly to non-technical users.
  • A collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
  • An interest in broadening your IT skillset, particularly in areas such as user training, documentation, and systems development.
  • A team player who enjoys helping others and growing within a supportive environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to build a long-term IT career and step beyond the typical support desk role. If you're enthusiastic, people-oriented, and ready to develop your skills in a range of IT functions, we’d love to hear from you.

You MUST be able to drive and be based in a communtable distance to York
