We are seeking a highly skilled Avionics Engineer to join our aerospace engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analysing, and testing avionics systems utilised in aircraft and spacecraft. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects within a dynamic environment, contributing to the development of innovative aerospace solutions.
Duties
- Design and develop avionics systems using CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve technical issues within avionics components and systems.
- Create detailed schematics and system designs for electronic circuits and embedded systems.
- Utilise programming languages including C++, Python, and MATLAB for system simulation, data analysis, and automation tasks.
- Manage projects from conception through to completion, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to meet technical specifications and deadlines.
- Perform system integration, testing, and validation in laboratory environments to ensure functionality under operational conditions.
- Analyse data collected during testing phases to optimise system performance and reliability.
- Apply GD&T principles to ensure precise manufacturing tolerances are maintained in mechanical components associated with avionics systems.
Experience
- Proven experience in systems engineering within the aerospace or defence industry.
- Demonstrable expertise in schematic capture, circuit design, and PCB layout using CAD tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
- Strong background in programming languages including C++, Python, and MATLAB for embedded systems development and data analysis.
