About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on UAV Prototyping Engineer to join an advanced engineering team developing next-generation drone systems. This role covers the full product lifecycle — from concept design through to prototyping, testing, and production — in a fast-paced, R&D-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop UAV systems from initial concept to production
- Build, test, and iterate drone prototypes
- Contribute to design for manufacture and component selection
- Support field testing, customer trials, and product validation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across engineering and production
- Lead or contribute to design and development projects
Skills & Experience
Essential
- 3–5 years’ experience with multi-rotor UAV platforms
- Strong understanding of:
- UAV electronics and propulsion
- Communication protocols and RF systems
Desirable
- Experience with flight systems (e.g. Ardupilot, Pixhawk, Betaflight)
- PCB or electronics design experience
- 3D printing or rapid prototyping capability
- Drone pilot certification (A2 CofC / GVC)
