This is a hands-on role ideal for a recent graduate from Computer Science, Computing or a related technical discipline. No prior professional experience is required. You will gain real responsibility from day one and develop a strong foundation for a broader product development career within a supportive, collaborative environment.

The Junior Product Manager will support the development of a suite of hardware controllers, user interfaces and configuration software used to design, deploy and maintain large-scale control systems. You will work closely with engineering, QA and customer-facing teams to shape requirements, validate new features through structured testing, and produce clear, high-quality documentation that helps users and colleagues understand and use the products effectively. The role suits someone curious, organised and technically minded, with a willingness to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce and maintain product documentation, including user guides, release notes, internal references and customer-facing materials.
  • Carry out structured user acceptance testing across software and hardware, capturing clear, reproducible feedback.
  • Develop deep, hands-on expertise across the product range and act as a reference point for colleagues.
  • Collaborate with developers throughout the development cycle, supporting delivery from specification through to release.
  • Help capture, refine and organise requirements and user specifications, ensuring they are clear, complete and testable.
  • Apply strong attention to detail across documentation, requirements and test feedback, identifying inconsistencies and edge cases.
Essential Qualifications
  • A degree in Computer Science, Computing or a closely related technical field.
  • No professional experience required; graduates and those entering the industry for the first time are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • High attention to detail and a methodical, organised approach.
  • Ability to work effectively in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable learning new technical domains quickly and asking the right questions.
Desirable Extras
  • Any exposure to product, technical, support or QA work (including academic projects or internships).
  • Background or interest in control systems, embedded technology, real-time systems, or interactive environments.
  • Experience using technical equipment or software in live, installation or operational settings.
  • Familiarity with issue-tracking/documentation tools such as YouTrack, Jira or Confluence.
  • Exposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • Basic technical literacy around networking, scripting or APIs.
