IT Administrator / IT Manager wanted by a thriving consultancy in Warrington.
This is an opportunity to become the company's first dedicated internal IT hire, taking ownership of the IT function as services are brought in-house from a managed service provider.
This IT Systems Administrator / IT Manager role will see you managing day-to-day IT across a modern Microsoft environment supporting around 40 users, with plans for continued growth.
You'll be responsible for Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra ID, endpoint management, security, and user support, helping to build a secure, well‑documented IT environment that can scale with the business.
As an IT Systems Administrator / IT Manager, you'll work closely with the Head of Technology to bring IT services in‑house, implementing Microsoft Intune, managing Windows and i Phone devices, administering Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, and supporting the company's journey towards ISO 27001 certification.
They already hold Cyber Essentials Plus so it's important you understand this too.
- Comfortable working as the primary internal IT contact and managing your own workload
- Strong experience administering Microsoft 365
- Experience with Microsoft Intune and endpoint management (mostly Windows)
- Any other Apple device management software is a bonus (e. g. Jamf, ABM, etc.) as they may move into this instead of Intune
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, MFA
- Experience with patch management and remote support tools
- Share Point experience is a bonus although they may be moving away from this
- Strong communication skills with a security‑focused and documentation‑driven approach
It would be great if you had experience bringing IT services in‑house from an MSP but this is not a requirement.
