Technical Programme Manager required by a large well-known company, to lead and manage a programme of IT transformation projects, driving delivery excellence and leading a team of project managers. Working cross-functionally with stakeholders across IT and the business, you will oversee the successful delivery of complex IT projects from initiation through to deployment, ensuring strategic alignment, stakeholder satisfaction, and adherence to time, budget, and scope.
As the Technical Programme Manager, you will lead a team of Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, and Analysts in planning and delivering a programme of IT projects covering Telco, Communications, Networking, Cyber Security, InfoSec, Data Centre etc. Your responsibilities include resource management, quality assurance, and compliance with delivery standards. You’ll manage dependencies, stakeholder engagement, project planning, and budgets. You’ll also be accountable for coaching and mentoring your team, managing risk, and maintaining effective communication throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring all deliverables are aligned to IT and business goals.
Expected Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years in senior project/programme management roles, with demonstrable experience of delivering large IT transformation projects.
- Experience in managing large-scale IT projects covering Telco, Communications, Networking, Cyber Security, InfoSec, Data Centre, etc.
- Proven ability to lead teams, conduct performance reviews, and support career development.
- Experience managing large budgets of £Millions, schedules, scope, and third-party vendors across a programme.
- Strong skills in managing cross-functional teams, senior management and C-suite level executives across IT and business teams.
- Confident working in both Agile and Waterfall environments.
- Experience with project/programme management and reporting tools, as well as quality control processes.
- PMP, Prince2, or equivalent; Agile qualification or experience desirable.
