An experienced Technical Author is required for a 12-month contract with a leading organisation in the Payments / FinTech / Financial Services sector. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a highly regarded team delivering clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation for complex technical systems.

You’ll be working closely with developers, product teams, and stakeholders to create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, ensuring consistency across platforms and supporting both internal teams and external users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce clear and concise technical documentation for systems, APIs, and processes
  • Work with development and product teams to understand complex requirements and translate them into user-friendly content
  • Ensure consistency of tone, style, and formatting across all documents
  • Maintain and update documentation to support new features and releases
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback and continuously improve content quality

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience as a Technical Author within Payments, FinTech, or Financial Services industries
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple, accessible language
  • Strong technical skills in using MadCap Flare is essential
  • Experience working with software development teams, ideally in Agile environments
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
