Role Purpose

The Tender Manager/Writer will be responsible for managing the full tender process – from qualification and response planning through to submission and post-bid clarification. They will collaborate across departments to produce compelling, accurate, and client-focused tender responses that showcase ITPS's value proposition and differentiate us from competitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the end-to-end tender and bid response process (RFI, RFP, ITT, PQQ, frameworks).
  • Analyse tender documentation, identify requirements, and coordinate timely responses.
  • Develop and maintain a central bid library of content, case studies, CVs, and templates.
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements, deadlines, and internal governance standards.
  • Content Development & Writing
  • Write, edit, and tailor high-quality content for tenders and proposals, highlighting ITPS's strengths in managed services, cloud, connectivity, cyber security, and data centre solutions.
  • Work with technical experts to translate complex information into clear, client-focused responses.
  • Continuously improve the clarity, style, and impact of written submissions.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Coordinate input from sales, technical, service delivery, finance, and legal teams.
  • Conduct response workshops, interviews, and review sessions to gather information.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to contributors on bid writing best practice.
  • Track win/loss outcomes, gather client feedback, and improve tender strategies.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, frameworks, and procurement processes.
  • Identify ways to streamline bid management processes and improve efficiency.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record in tender/bid management or bid writing, ideally in IT, technology, or managed services.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills with an eye for detail.
  • Strong project management and organisational abilities, able to handle multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to understand and present technical solutions in a clear, persuasive way.
  • Competence with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) qualification or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with public sector procurement frameworks (Crown Commercial Service, NHS, local government, etc.).
  • Experience within IT Managed Services, Cloud, Cyber Security, or Data Centre sectors.
