The role
We have a newly created opportunity for an Insurance Manager to join our Risk & Sustainability team on a part-time (3 days a week) basis. As our subject matter expert, you will partner with both Corporate and Asset-based stakeholders across our 3 business lines of Retail, Office and Logistics to be the first point of contact for all insurance related matters for our business. This is a crucial role to support the Director, Risk & Audit in the management of GPT’s insurance programs and will actively partner with multiple teams to promote a risk aware culture.
What you will be doing
- Responding to and providing guidance with all insurance related matters
- Providing support with the claims management process
- Managing and assisting with the day to day broker/insurer relationship
- Monitoring and reviewing the escrow accounts managed and maintained by the insurance broker
- Ensuring all insurance policies and relevant documentation is maintained
- Preparing insurance renewal related documents
- Assisting in the facilitation of insurance related training across the business
- Supporting the preparation and drafting of papers and other materials as required
What makes you stand out
We are looking for highly motivated insurance professional with knowledge of public liability claims practices, data analysis and reporting. A familiarity with insurance provisions in property related contracts and the ability to advise on these will be held in high regard. You are personable and consultative, able to influence and collaborate with all groups of people. You will also bring exemplary written and verbal communication skills. Experience within the property industry would be advantageous, but not essential.
