Job Description

The role is based at the Rugby Truck Stop on Watling Street and involves delivering and collecting goods to RDCs for non‑refrigerated baked goods, as well as general haulage for customers such as Cemex, CGE and Britvic. The role may involve manual handling, drop and swaps and general trunking.

Shift Patterns

Days and nights are available. All shift patterns can be considered.

Salary

Basic salary from £42,304 per annum, depending on shift and start times, and in accordance to average hours worked based on 54 hour per week and 64 hours per week for Trampers.

• Mon‑Fri Days – £15.00 per hour (including meal allowance and tier payment).
• Mon‑Fri Night Shift – £16.30 per hour (including meal allowance and tier payment).
• Saturday and Sunday Day Shift – £18.00 per hour (including meal allowance and tier payment).
• Saturday and Sunday Night Shift – £18.50 per hour (including meal allowance and tier payment).
• Bank Holidays – £18.81 per hour (including meal allowance and tier payment).

Qualifications

• 6 months Class 1 experience.
• Valid HGV 1/C+E licence, DCPC & Tacho card.
• No more than 6 points on your licence with no DD/DR Code convictions.
• Understand and comply with driver hours and WTD legislation.
• Carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and report defects correctly.
• Comply with on‑site health and safety requirements.
• Excellent communication skills.
