Class 1 Driver in Bellshill

Job Description

Eddie Stobart are currently looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join their growing team in Bellshill (ML4 3NH). The role is based on a Morrisons site in Bellshill and will involve store deliveries and general haulage using a variety of Morrisons and ESL kit. This role may include manual handling. There is also an opportunity to be trained on the rail side (containers).

Shifts Available

• Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday 22:00‑02:00 start window.

Salary

• Mon‑Fri Days – £14.00 per hour (including meal allowance)
• Mon‑Fri Night Shift – £15.30 per hour (including meal allowance)
• Saturday and Sunday Day Shift – £17.00 per hour (including meal allowance)
• Saturday and Sunday Night Shift – £17.50 per hour (including meal allowance)
• Bank Holidays – £17.81 per hour (including meal allowance)

Qualifications

• At least 1 year Class 1 experience.
• Valid HGV 1/C+E Licence, DCPC & Tacho Card.
• No more than 6 points on your licence with no DD/DR code convictions.
• Understanding and ability to comply with driver hours and WTD legislation.
• Able to conduct necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and report defects correctly.
• Compliance with on‑site health and safety requirements.
• Excellent communication skills.
