The WWF-UK Impact Committee plays a critical role in supporting the Board of Trustees by assessing, challenging, and helping shape WWF‑UK’s externally facing work across science, programmes, partnerships, policy, advocacy, and communications.
We are looking for new members to join us in addressing today’s global environmental challenges with insight from various disciplines, sectors, and geographies. We seek individuals who bring deep expertise and fresh perspectives, alongside a strong commitment to our mission.
As a member of the Impact Committee, you will have the opportunity to contribute to strategic decision-making at board level, ensuring our work is credible, inclusive, and effective. You will have strong professional experience in one or more of the following areas:
- International business (commodities, energy, food sector, sustainable finance)
- International politics or policy
- External communications and media
- Brand and public positioning
- Safeguarding and risk management
- International development or conservation programmes
- Artificial intelligence and emerging technologies
Previous board experience is helpful but not essential, as we will provide a comprehensive induction into our strategy and governance, along with a buddy system from within the committee. You should be a strategic thinker, confident in offering constructive challenges and independent insight, and able to operate within a complex international or cross-sector environment.
