IT Fleet is looking for an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our busy site. You’ll be responsible for managing staff, ensuring high-quality output, and maintaining excellent customer service standards — all while keeping the site efficient, compliant, and cost-effective. This is a hands-on management role where organisation, leadership, and communication skills are key. You’ll also work closely with our Fleet Manager to make sure all vehicles on site are roadworthy, compliant, and operating safely.
What We’re Looking For
- For this role you must be a Transport Manager CPC holder with transport compliance experience.
- We’re seeking an experienced, hands-on professional with a proven track record in site, depot, or operations management — ideally within the automotive or logistics industry.
- You’ll be a confident leader who can inspire, motivate, and develop your team to achieve consistent results.
- Strong organisational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities are essential, along with the ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment.
- A solid understanding of Health & Safety, environmental compliance and fleet operations is important for this role, as is the ability to communicate clearly with people at all levels.
- You’ll also need to be IT literate, with excellent attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- As Site Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of the site, ensuring all activities meet productivity, quality, and efficiency targets.
- You’ll lead, train, and support the on-site team, creating a positive and high-performing work environment.
- Managing budgets and monitoring operational costs will be a key part of ensuring the site remains profitable and cost-effective.
- You’ll work closely with our other refurbishment sites and head office to coordinate customer requirements, while maintaining strong communication with colleagues, management, and clients to build lasting, effective relationships.
- A key part of the role involves conducting staff inductions, reviews and training sessions to ensure every team member performs to the highest standards.
- Health & Safety and environmental compliance are central to this position.
- You’ll be responsible for ensuring all policies are followed, carrying out regular vehicle spot checks and compliance inspections, and completing incident reports and driver debriefs when required.
- By implementing corrective actions and driving continuous improvement, you’ll help the site operate smoothly, safely, and efficiently at all times.
