About Us: We are a leading UK vehicle movement company dedicated to providing reliable and efficient car transportation services across the nation. Our fleet and team are expanding, and we are seeking Car Transporter Drivers to join our dynamic team. If no experience full training will be given. Salary: £29,250 per year. The role holder is responsible for the appraising/inspecting, loading, driving and delivery of customer owned motor vehicles to dealer outlets, auctions, refurbishment centres and other commercial locations in a safe, compliant, and timely manner. Key responsibilities To plan the most efficient route to enable all drivers reach their destination within a reasonable timeframe. To drive safely and within legal requirements, always observing the Highway Code. Monitor uniform and overall appearance of drivers. Address issues with the driver in the first instance and flag any ongoing issues with drivers who consistently fail to wear company uniform, to the Transport team. To ensure the mobile phone is always charged and switched on during working hours. In conjunction with the Transport Allocator, plan collection and delivery vehicles in the most efficient manner, maximising delivery opportunities. Undertake an effective appraisal and inspection of every vehicle and upload to the Fleet Plus system. Load each motor vehicle in accordance with procedures, ensuing they are secured safely, and ensuring the vehicle is within the permitted weight allowance. Abide by the regulations relating to tachograph, driver hours and Working Time Regulations. Report all vehicle damage accurately and immediately to the Fleet Manager. Undertake a full vehicle daily defect check of the transporter before every movement and record accordingly.
