In this role, you will be the vital link between our organization and a network of construction companies, identifying and developing mutually beneficial partnerships. Responsibilities
- Cultivate Strategic Partnerships: Proactively manage and grow a portfolio of existing clients while spearheading the acquisition of new business. You will be the face of the company, building trust and ensuring we remain the partner of choice.
- Drive Revenue Growth: Take ownership of your targets, developing and executing a strategic plan to identify new opportunities and convert them into tangible business, directly contributing to the company's success.
- Become a Sector Expert: Develop an authoritative knowledge of our products and funding landscape. You will use this expertise to consult with clients, understand their unique challenges, and tailor solutions that meet their specific needs.
- Expand Our Network: Actively build and nurture a robust network of contacts within the construction sector, from site managers to company directors.
- Represent the Brand: Champion our company at industry networking events, conferences, and promotional opportunities, enhancing our profile and reputation (with flexibility for events outside standard hours).
- Master Our Systems: Diligently maintain and manage your pipeline and client interactions using our CRM system, ensuring accurate forecasting and record-keeping.
Essential Experience & Skills
- A proven track record in a sales or business development role, with specific experience in the construction or trade sectors being essential.
- A natural hunter-farmer mentality: driven to seek out new business while expertly nurturing existing accounts.
- Demonstrable skill in consultative selling – you listen first, understand client needs, and build solutions rather than just pushing products.
- Exceptional relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect and build rapport at all levels.
- Experience in analyzing client requirements and creating compelling, tailored solutions.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in the delivery or promotion of apprenticeship schemes within the construction industry.
