An opportunity has arisen for a very hands-on, all-round Lead Technical Engineer who has a real desire to make an impact on a business and its customers and step up to be the Technology Champion, creating solutions, solving problems and leading a small team by example.
IT Corporation are a small London based IT Reseller / Managed Service Provider with a great track record in customer service and attention to detail. Providing IT solutions to a wide range of businesses, from outsourced helpdesk services including escalation to onsite technical support, onsite consultancy services, right through to both Born to the Cloud and OnPrem to cloud migration solutions – covering a wide range of technologies in between.
The Senior Technical Consultant role is very much a self-motivating autonomous role that requires not only excellent current IT skills across a wide range of technologies, but also people management skills, since key to the position will be the management and motivation of other members of the technical team with a very hands-on approach.
Reporting straight to the Company Director, this demanding but rewarding role will be expected to:
- Lead and manage other engineers covering both Helpdesk and on-Site Technical Support services
- Engage with customers directly to help shape and guide their IT Technology Strategy
- Work with the Sales team on opportunities and projects from conception to delivery
- Help forge the technology strategy for the business and ultimately drive and champion new technology and new solution offerings for customers
- Work with and support the other engineers to ensure skill levels and qualifications are attained and built upon
- Be prepared to travel and work away from home as required
- Step up and tackle any technical challenge presented and lead by example
To be able to take on this extremely flexible and rewarding role, you will need to bring:
- A proven track record in the IT industry demonstrating a wide range of real-life technical knowledge gained through experience
- A high level of Azure and Office365 skills and knowledge essential, current Microsoft exam qualifications in both areas would be an advantage
- Strong leadership abilities, with a track record of inspiring and developing others
- Previous experience of leading and managing a support team
- Exceptional IT problem-solving skills and resourcefulness
- An ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- A genuine enthusiasm for technology and a desire to jump into, and skill up on new technologies and solutions
- Have a clean driving licence and access to a personal vehicle if working away from home is required
- Be able to adapt to changing priorities and have a flexible approach to performing the role
