Are you looking to kick-start a brand new career in IT? We are recruiting for companies who are looking to employ our IT Technician Traineeship graduates to keep up with their growth. The best part is you will not need any previous experience as full training will be provided. You will also have the reassurance of a job guarantee (£24K-£30K) upon completion. We are currently placing over 100 of our graduates into new roles each month.

Whether you are working full time, part time or unemployed, this package has the flexibility to be completed at a pace that suits you. The traineeship is broken down into 3 easy steps.

  • Step 1 - Online Training: The first step is completing a selection of professional, accredited and industry recognised IT Technician courses by CompTIA, Microsoft and Cisco. The training is delivered via multimedia rich video tutorials, presentations and quizzes through a portal that you study from home. You will also be assigned an expert tutor to help you throughout your training.
  • Step 2 - Practical Training: You will gain the practical experience by using our cutting edge Livelabs. Gaining hands-on experience is essential in today’s IT industry for both certifications and keeping up to date with new technologies. Theory is often not enough these days; companies require hands-on practical experience to make sure you’re job ready.
  • Step 3 - Official exams: You will then go on to sit the CompTIA A+ exams to give you the official certifications which will be recognised worldwide. The CompTIA A+ is the most commonly asked for certificate in entry level IT roles.

Guaranteed Job Placement (Starting salary £24K-£30K): At this point you will have fully completed our IT Technician Traineeship and be ready to start work. Through our range of partnerships throughout the UK with IT organisations, we are able to place you into an entry level IT role within your local area. You will be starting on a salary between £24K-£30k, working in either an IT Technician/Desktop Support/First Line Support Role.

We guarantee you will be offered a job upon completion or we will refund you 100% of your course fees back. At a one off cost of £799, or a deposit of £112 followed by 10 interest free monthly instalments of £78, this represents a great opportunity to start a rewarding career in IT. We have a proven track record of placing 1000+ candidates into new roles each year. Check out our website for our latest success stories.

How to prepare for a job interview at IT Career Switch

Know Your Basics

Before heading into the interview, brush up on fundamental IT concepts. Familiarise yourself with common terms and technologies related to IT support, like troubleshooting, networking basics, and operating systems. This will show your enthusiasm and readiness to learn.

Showcase Your Training

Since this role is for trainees, highlight any relevant training you've completed, even if it's just online courses. Discuss what you've learned from your CompTIA or Microsoft courses and how you can apply that knowledge in a practical setting.

Prepare for Practical Scenarios

Expect to face scenario-based questions during the interview. Think about how you would handle common IT support issues, such as a user unable to connect to the internet or software installation problems. Practising these scenarios can help you articulate your thought process clearly.

Ask Insightful Questions

At the end of the interview, don’t forget to ask questions! Inquire about the company culture, the team you'll be working with, or the types of projects you might be involved in. This shows your genuine interest in the role and helps you assess if it’s the right fit for you.
