A unique opportunity to join one of the UK’s few Netgate Partners, Cisco Talos integrators, and Teltonika Networks partners. Working across IT And General (ITG) and our sister company XCommNet, you will gain exposure to networking, cybersecurity, SD-WAN, mobile connectivity, e-commerce operations (ITG-Shop), technical support, field engineering, and business development. This is a hands-on role in a small business environment where initiative, reliability, adaptability, and quick thinking are essential, offering significant opportunities for learning, growth, and career progression.
Skills and profile
- Certificate of Higher Education (preferred)
- Enthusiastic about Technology, Networking and Cyber Security
- Good understanding of the OSI and TCP/IP model
- Experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
- willing to learn and develop as part of a customer focused team
- Strong communication and customer-facing confidence
- Proactive, hands-on mindset with good troubleshooting instincts
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel occasionally, mainly within London and surrounding areas
Role overview and key responsibilities (What you’ll be doing)
- Operations and e-commerce
- Manage daily order processing, fulfilment, stock control, returns, and courier coordination.
- Support customer enquiries, product guidance, and order-related problem solving.
- Work to daily dispatch timelines, with particular focus on the morning order cut-off window.
- Technical support and device preparation
- Provide first-line support, log and manage tickets, and escalate more complex issues where needed.
- Prepare and configure routers, firewalls, and related networking equipment for customer deployment.
- Troubleshoot connectivity and network issues with a calm, structured approach.
- Field engineering and on-site work
- Attend client sites to install networking equipment and temporary internet solutions.
- Support stop-gap connectivity during office moves, construction projects, and temporary setups.
- Act as an on-site technical presence for broadcasting, filming, events, and festivals where rapid diagnosis is essential.
- Sales and business development
- Attend networking events and build relationships with new and existing customers.
- Identify opportunities, support tenders and proposals, and follow up commercial leads.
- Contribute to broader growth by combining technical credibility with strong customer engagement.
