Cedar Hope Care Services Ltd, part of ISWP Holding, is an Ofsted and CQC regulated 16+ supported living service. Cedar Hope Care Services Ltd has a number of provisions in the Reading area, providing a range of support. We support clients who present a wide range of needs and challenges.

Role

Cedar Hope Care Services are looking for a live-in support worker for 24/7 support for a client in one of our homes. This role would be based on a rolling rota of 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off.

Duties

  • Offering personalised support and safeguarding our client/clients to live independently
  • Supporting the client to access social activities
  • Writing accurate and factual daily reports
  • Promoting and ensuring privacy and dignity
  • Working in a team and on an individual basis

Person Specification

  • Satisfactory clearance of an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS, formerly CRB)
  • Proof of right to work in the UK
  • Essential strong functional skills (ICT, Numeracy and Literacy)
  • Knowledge in safeguarding as well as health and safety protocols
  • Knowledge of Learning Disabilities
  • Minimum 6 months experience in care
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and able to act on your initiative
  • Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

Note this post is exempt from The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (c.53) as it involves contact with vulnerable adults.
