The ISW Parenting Assessor will carry out comprehensive parenting assessments for court proceedings and local authority instructions, focusing on risk, capacity to change, and the best interests of the child. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Planning and conducting home visits

- Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding legislation, relevant guidance, and best practice in child protection, permanency planning, and risk assessment
- Excellent interpersonal and interviewing skills, with the ability to engage respectfully with children, parents, and carers from diverse backgrounds and in challenging circumstances
- Ability to manage a demanding caseload, meet strict deadlines, and work autonomously while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Competence in using standard IT tools for report writing, secure communication, and electronic case management
