The International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG) is a highly respected professional membership organisation with members in more than 160 countries, comprised primarily of clinicians who are ultrasound experts in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The Society includes obstetricians and gynecologists, trainees, medical doctors, scientists, sonographers, midwives, and other health professionals who work to advance women’s health and wellbeing globally. Our mission is to improve women’s health through the provision, advancement, and dissemination of the highest quality education, standards, and research information around ultrasound in obstetrics and gynecology.
This is achieved through education and training, programmatic initiatives, and advocacy. ISUOG delivers a portfolio of events including its annual World Congress, other regional meetings, and a targeted virtual event to low resource communities, Ultrasound Essentials. These events are annual, designed to deliver cutting edge, comprehensive, high-quality science to our global and regional communities respectively. The World Congress enters its 36th year in 2026 and attracts 2,000-3,000 participants from 100-130 countries depending on its location. Our regional events support ISUOG’s regionalisation strategy and these events vary in format from in person to virtual, ranging in size from 300-1,000 depending on the region.
