The International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG) is a world-leading medical charity working across more than 140 countries to improve women's health through the provision, advancement and dissemination of the highest quality education, standards, and research information around ultrasound in obstetrics and gynecology. We are looking for an experienced Capacity Development Manager to lead the development of our Capacity Development portfolio, including our global Outreach programmes, and help shape the future of our international education activities.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with clinicians, volunteers, and partners across the world, helping improve access to high-quality ultrasound education in low- and middle-income countries.

About the role

Reporting to the Senior Manager Education, you will lead the delivery, development, and strategic planning of ISUOG's Capacity Development portfolio, ensuring programmes are impactful, sustainable, and aligned with the Society's wider education strategy.

Working closely with colleagues and international partners, you will strengthen existing programmes, develop new partnerships, support future funding opportunities, and implement robust monitoring and evaluation to demonstrate impact and drive continuous improvement.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading the development of ISUOG's Capacity Development portfolio.
  • Managing and developing the Outreach team.
  • Building partnerships with organisations and clinical leaders around the world.
  • Supporting the development of funding bids and identifying new funding opportunities.
  • Implementing monitoring, evaluation, and impact frameworks.
  • Using programme data to improve quality and inform future planning.
  • Ensuring programmes are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard.
  • Representing ISUOG at international meetings and events.
  • Travelling internationally, including to low- and middle-income countries, where required.

About you

You’ll be an experienced programme manager with a passion for global education and women's health. You’ll enjoy building relationships, leading teams and turning ideas into successful programmes that deliver measurable impact.

You’ll have:

  • Experience managing international education or capacity development programmes.
  • Experience leading and developing teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management and partnership-building skills.
  • Experience of monitoring, evaluation, and impact assessment.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience of supporting funding applications or identifying funding opportunities, including working with external bid-writing expertise, would be advantageous.
  • The ability to think strategically while delivering operationally.
  • Experience in healthcare, medical education, international development, or the charity sector would be an advantage.
