A fine jewelry house based between London, L.A., and Istanbul, created for the global stage, ISTINARA offers thought-provoking designs for the modern collector. We bring a contemporary lens to traditional craftsmanship while honoring the fragility of our home. We are looking for an experienced jewelry designer with extensive creativity and technical expertise in jewelry production to work closely with our creative director in developing the brand\’s jewelry collection and bringing its creative vision to life.

While the brand is London-based, our workshop is located in Istanbul where the design and production team are based.

As a luxury brand, our main collection features 18-karat gold, precious stones, and diamonds. Additionally, we offer a luxury sterling silver statement collection.

You will be responsible for designing iconic ISTINARA jewelry, distinguished runway pieces, and more commercial designs catering to a wider market. While aligning with the creative director\’s vision, we seek a candidate willing to push creative boundaries while respecting guidelines.

In preparation for the launch of our first flagship store in Los Angeles, you will need to quickly immerse yourself in developing new designs for its opening.

This is a hybrid role involving online and in-person meetings with the creative director and workshop as needed. The position can be freelance, project-based, part-time, or full-time.

Roles & Research Topics:

  • Prepare and present mood boards for the core collection and supplementary designs based on the creative brief, brand story, research, and your own input.
  • Present preliminary hand-drawn designs for approved mood boards, including technical and wearability justifications.
  • Convert final hand-drawn designs into 3-D renderings.
  • Create technical files for the workshop.
  • Ensure designs are accurately conveyed and reflected in the finished products.

Important Note:

Only candidates with a portfolio showcasing their latest work will be considered.

Required Skills:

  • Student from a University of Arts, Design School, or specialized in jewelry design.
  • Professional jewelry design experience.
  • Strong understanding of the jewelry industry, both current and historical.
  • Superior freehand drawing skills.
  • Proficiency in gouache rendering, Rhino, rendering software, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
