Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Bartender and waiter/waitress (hiring 2 people) roles based at Istanbul Restaurant in Huddersfield.

The Bartender will prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, maintain the bar area, and ensure all drinks are made to recipe and presentation standards.

Daily tasks include greeting guests, taking orders, recommending drinks that complement Turkish cuisine, and providing attentive, friendly service.

The role also involves handling cash and card payments, keeping accurate tabs, restocking supplies, and following all safety and hygiene procedures.

The Bartender will work closely with the front-of-house and kitchen teams to deliver a seamless and enjoyable dining experience.

Qualifications

  • Strong Customer Service and Communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with guests and team members.
  • Experience or familiarity with Food & Beverage service, ideally in a restaurant or bar setting.
  • Proficient Bartending skills, including drink preparation, cocktail knowledge, and responsible alcohol service.
  • Reliable Cash Handling abilities, with attention to accuracy in processing payments and managing tabs.
  • Ability to work on-site in Huddersfield with flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Knowledge of or interest in Turkish cuisine and beverages is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to cleanliness, and adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required; training can be provided for the right candidate.
