We are seeking an Administrator/Driver to support the Winter Vaccination Programme, commencing in October 2026. This role forms part of a remote, roaming vaccination service, delivered by our team onboard the outreach health van across Central and West Lancashire. The service provides COVID-19 and flu vaccinations, alongside general health advice and wellbeing checks within community settings. These include blood pressure monitoring, smoking cessation support, and BMI assessments.

Main duties of the job:

  • Conduct daily safety and equipment checks of the outreach van prior to departure, and drive to scheduled locations across Central and West Lancashire.
  • Set up the vaccination and engagement area on arrival at each site.
  • Meet and greet patients, explain the service available, and proactively encourage uptake in a supportive, friendly, and inclusive manner.
  • Carry out accurate administrative recordkeeping of vaccinations delivered, using the Outcomes4Health data system.
  • Support completion of the Friends and Family Test customer satisfaction questionnaires.

About us:

Issa Medical is a large general practice delivering a wide range of external and community-based services. Building on a successful first year, this is our second year delivering a roaming vaccination service across Central and West Lancashire. Our main practice is located in the heart of Deepdale, Preston, and we serve a population of over 36,000 patients across two modern, purpose-built practices, as well as delivering a range of external health outreach programmes within the wider community.

Job responsibilities:

  • Carrying out general duties, including preparing the van for daily operations by completing routine checks such as fuel levels and generator function.
  • Driving the mobile unit to scheduled locations across Central and West Lancashire in line with service requirements.
  • Undertaking basic administrative tasks, including data entry and accurate record keeping.
  • Engaging with members of the public by providing information about the service and capturing patient feedback using the Friends and Family Test.

Person Specification:

  • Qualifications: General education.
  • Basic computer skills and data entry knowledge of Pinnicle data system, EMIS.
  • Disclosure and Barring Service Check: This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
