ISS STOXX Liquid Metrix is seeking a TCA Product Owner to join our Product team in London.

This role acts as a bridge between clients (primarily Compliance users), internal stakeholders, and engineering teams to support and enhance our TCA and Best Execution platform, with a strong focus on data, design, and quality assurance.

Liquid Metrix has a proud 30-year history of delivering sophisticated solutions to financial markets, including Mi FID Best Execution, Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA), Market Surveillance, and Venue Liquidity Analytics.

These solutions are delivered via state-of-the-arc web services and APIs, powered by a global, multi-asset market data warehouse.

The Product team is responsible for the full product lifecycle-from concept through implementation and training.

The successful candidate will work closely with Head of Product, Product team and Development teams across all stages of delivery, from initial design and wireframing through to release, training, and documentation.

  • Core Responsibilities
  • Gather and refine product requirements from Compliance users, the Strategic Steering Board, Technology teams, and regulatory developments.
  • Translate business needs and regulatory requirements into detailed functional specifications and model requirements.
  • Consult with stakeholders to triage incoming requests and issues.
  • Prioritise initiatives based on client urgency, business impact, regulatory requirements, and cost considerations.
  • Ensure high-quality requirements, model specifications, and user acceptance criteria are defined.
  • Collaborate with Development and Data teams to design, enhance, and optimise surveillance models.
  • Evaluate model feasibility, data dependencies, inputs, outputs, and parameterisation approaches.
  • Produce clear and comprehensive documentation of solution designs and methodologies.
  • Participate in testing, documentation, and stakeholder communication across UAT and Production environments.
  • Support successful releases and adoption of new functionality.

Minimum 5 years' experience in Compliance, surveillance product delivery, market surveillance, or financial markets.

  • Degree-level education, ideally in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Adaptable and inquisitive mindset with a desire to understand complex models, methodologies, and market behaviours.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of market abuse and surveillance methodologies, including Insider Dealing, Spoofing, Front Running, and other market manipulation behaviours.
  • Knowledge of key regulatory frameworks, including MAR, UK MAR, and Mi FID.
  • Experience working with market abuse surveillance tools and platforms.
  • Understanding of model calibration, back-testing, risk analysis, and gap analysis processes.
  • Good knowledge of market structures, trading venues, and asset classes.

  • Strong analytical capability with advanced Excel and documentation skills.
  • Ability to analyse large datasets, identify patterns, and investigate complex scenarios.
  • Familiarity with financial services platforms, including data ingestion processes, workflows, APIs, and user interfaces.
  • Product-focused mindset with the ability to prioritise competing demands and contribute to product roadmap decisions.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, balancing client, business, and technical considerations.
  • Awareness of AI, Machine Learning, and statistical modelling techniques within surveillance and financial technology solutions., non-discriminatory basis, consistent with all applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
