We are looking for a hands-on technical leader who can plan, assign, and direct work while addressing issues and complaints as they arise. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence, compliance, and client satisfaction across all technical service activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical service delivery across accounts, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Act as the single point of escalation for technical issues, ensuring timely resolution and consistent service outcomes.
  • Drive operational efficiency through the implementation of standard procedures, best practices, and innovative technical solutions.
  • Understand and apply the Owner’s building operations rules for all buildings under care, as provided by the Key Account Director.
  • Assign tasks for work tickets and preventative maintenance work orders for the Operations & Maintenance team.
  • Oversee and review all Appointed Persons duties across services as part of Safe Systems of Work (SSoW).
  • Ensure completion of planned maintenance and work orders in line with monthly schedules.
  • Maintain accurate and accessible Operations & Maintenance documentation, including drawings, manuals, and site operator documentation.
  • Review, edit, and maintain SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs as required for site operations.
  • Coordinate contractors and vendors to ensure safe site access, supervision, and completion of maintenance and project work.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • Proven hands-on experience in Technical Services within a building services environment.
  • HNC (or equivalent) in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in technical services within building services or estates, including High Voltage/Low Voltage systems management in regulated settings.
  • Recognised craft apprenticeship with relevant qualifications (HND/HNC, City & Guilds, or NVQ Level 3 or above), including formal HV/LV training.
  • Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related engineering discipline (desirable).
  • Strong understanding of best practices supporting critical engineering systems, including decontamination, specialist clinical ventilation systems, and medical gases.
  • Willingness to be appointed as an Authorised Engineer for High Voltage and Low Voltage systems.
  • Full UK driving licence; willingness to travel as required (car or allowance provided).
