This is a mobile position requiring frequent site visits, audits and unsociable or out-of-hours working. The role focuses heavily on site safety leadership, health and safety enforcement, and the supervision of operatives and subcontractors to ensure compliant and safe delivery across all locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage site safety, enforcing health and safety regulations across multiple live environments
- Conduct risk assessments, implement control measures and monitor site activities
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and method statement briefings
- Interpret schematic and construction drawings, with specific focus on fire and security requirements (Safe 03 and Safe 04)
- Supervise, mentor and coordinate operatives and subcontractors to ensure safe working practices
- Carry out regular site inspections, audits and safety checks
- Report accidents, near misses and dangerous occurrences in line with regulations
- Maintain accurate safety documentation, records and compliance reporting
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- SSSTS or SMSTS certification
- CSCS card
- Proven experience within the FM / PM industry
- Experience working on cross-functional projects
- Conversant with NEC4 contracts
- Strong understanding of construction processes and ability to interpret drawings and specifications
- Strong data analysis, report writing and presentation skills
- Experience using project management software and relevant digital tools
- UK driving licence required, with flexibility to travel nationwide
