We are looking for an individual who can operate effectively in a high-volume estimating environment, working closely with junior estimators, the quotations team and clients. You will contribute to accurate, compliant and competitive tenders while building strong client relationships and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Work within a team of Junior Estimators to price additional works arising from reactive and planned maintenance activities
- Assist other estimators on larger tenders when required
- Perform a high-volume estimating function on a day-to-day basis
- Manage the quotation process from collation through to approval, resolving queries with the Quotations Team and Clients
- Deliver accurate financial submissions for individual quotations
- Contribute to risk assessments, ensuring all risks are identified, recorded and included within tenders and quotes
- Track and report on quotations issued and manage them through to conversion of additional works
- Build and maintain effective client relationships within areas of responsibility
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- Detail-oriented and deadline-driven approach
- Good estimating experience
- Knowledge of NSR (National Schedule of Rates)
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Understanding of accounting and financial concepts
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills
- Ability to manage priorities and multiple projects in a rapidly changing environment
- Strong communication, problem-solving and customer service skills
