We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our catering team and provide a high-quality support service within our kitchen and catering operations. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the catering service through the safe movement of food, equipment, documentation, and supplies.

You will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment within kitchens and associated catering areas, ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with company procedures, food safety standards, and health & safety requirements.

Role
  • Provide an efficient and professional catering porter service.
  • Assist with the safe movement of food, equipment, supplies, and documentation throughout the site.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within kitchen and catering areas.
  • Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, work surfaces, floors, and associated catering facilities.
  • Support the catering team in maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Follow food hygiene, health & safety, and infection control procedures at all times.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to operational requirements.
  • Contribute to the efficient operation of catering services in both patient and non-patient environments where applicable.
  • Enthusiastic and positive approach to work.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a catering, kitchen porter, or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
  • Good understanding of hygiene and cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.
  • Reliable, flexible, and hardworking approach.
  • Good physical ability, including the ability to lift and move equipment safely.
