We are looking for an engineer who can carry out fault finding, repairs, maintenance and installation activities, while proactively supporting client relationships and ensuring all works are completed safely, compliantly and to agreed performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver electrical planned preventative maintenance (PPM), proactive and reactive works issued via the helpdesk within agreed timeframes.
  • Undertake electrical fault finding, repairs, maintenance and installation across client properties.
  • Carry out additional building services maintenance, including fabric, HVAC, mechanical and related tasks.
  • Participate in the callout rota, providing responsive support as required by the client.
  • Monitor and control contractors on site, ensuring workmanship meets required standards and issuing Permits to Work.
  • Ensure all electrical equipment operates to specified performance criteria and complies with company standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure all administrative requirements are completed on time.
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations, including risk assessments and COSHH, and suggest service improvements where appropriate.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Experience

  • Proven experience in electrical building services maintenance, including fault finding, maintenance, installation and inspection/testing.
  • Previous experience delivering reactive and PPM maintenance within commercial properties.
  • Experience working within facilities management (FM) or building services environments.
  • Strong understanding of, and compliance with, strict Health & Safety procedures, including risk assessments and method statements.

Qualifications

  • City & Guilds 2365 or 2357 Level 3 and NVQ 2356 with AM2.
  • City & Guilds 2330 Level 3 in Electrical Installation and NVQ 2356 with AM2.
  • City & Guilds 236/2360 in Electrical Installations Parts 1 & 2.
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (BS 7671:2018), preferably including A2 Amendment.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

  • Recognised electrical apprenticeship.
  • City & Guilds or equivalent in Inspection & Testing (2391 or 2394/2395).
  • JIB accreditation.
  • IPAF and/or PASMA certification.
